Plantable Eco-Friendly Rakhi – Build a Strong Bond with Your Sibling and The Earth

Plantable ecofriendly rakhi

Raksha Bandhan is an Indian special festival of love between siblings. Every year on this day, sisters tie decorative bracelets (rakhis) to their brother’s wrist, symbolizing care. In return, the Brothers pledge to safeguard their sisters and offer gifts, which denote their love.  But, for once, consider this earth as your sibling. Do you think the synthetic rakhis you use will benefit the environment? The answer is a big NO!  To get the best rakhi sisters do a lot of shopping. But, if you are not buying eco-friendly Rakhis, then indirectly, you are being responsible for polluting the environment. Most conventional rakhis often used by you or even me are made from non-biodegradable materials that are the cause of environmental pollution. In contrast, eco-friendly rakhis are made from biodegradable materials like recycled paper, jute, or organic cotton which help reduce waste and protect natural ecosystems, and preserve the planet for future generations. It’s high time to buy or encourage the use of such plantable eco-friendly rakhis to create a special bond with their sibling and the earth. What is Eco-friendly Rakhi? Eco-friendly rakhis are prepared from organic materials that can easily decompose in the environment. These organic materials can be natural wool, seeds of plants, plant-based ingredients, or anything which doesn’t harm the environment.  In this digital era and with the availability of e-commerce, one can find different types of attractive, eco-friendly, and sustainable rakhis. But, when you buy rakhis online, make sure the packing details are also eco-friendly. When you want to take a step towards protecting the environment, you shouldn’t encourage non-degradable packing. Benefits of Eco-friendly Rakhis 1. They can be broken down naturally in the environment. In contrast to their plastic counterparts, eco-friendly rakhis are constructed entirely of organic, biodegradable materials. Carrot seeds and Tulsi are two of these components. Everything about these rakhis is eco-friendly; even the packaging is eco-friendly, which is very crucial. 2. Plantable Not only that, but a few of these rare rakhis may be planted in a container and nurtured into a flourishing garden shrub or tree with just some water, sunlight, and organic fertilizer. If you still feel like throwing them away, know that they will either convert into manure or a plant and won’t harm the environment. 3. Meaningful Presents. You can think of these as gifts as well as rakhis. For example, the rakhi kits you buy may include a plantable pen or pencil whose ink can be grown from seeds (like a tomato or a marigold). Get them a coir pot, organic fertilizer, a custom postcard, and name tags. 4. Contribute to Environmental Preservation. Experts say that we have significantly less time to save the environment, and even a small step from us would be an excellent benefit for mother earth. Plantable Rakhis are on trend There are different types of eco-friendly rakhis, but however, many among us know about the rakhis, which can be plantable after Raksha Bandhan. One of the problems after Raksha Bandhan is the increasing wastage. Through synthetic rakhis, we can face waste disposable problems. Using a plantable rakhi can be the solution for this. This rakhi has different seeds like tulsi, carrot, etc., which can be plantable in your garden.  These days, veganism has been increasing day by day. From food to makeup products, many people are strictly following veganism. Some people may think that the thread of the rakhis is made up of wool from animals. But, organic plantable rakhis contain natural handspun organic cotton, which is suitable for a vegan. So, everybody can use these eco-friendly rakhis. Why should we use Plantable eco-friendly Rakhi or Seed Rakhi? Microorganisms in our environment digest a substantial portion of the garbage we produce. And they do an excellent job of preventing pollution; however, they can only effectively digest organic, easily biodegradable trash. The rakhis you tie on your brother yearly are typically made of non-biodegradable materials and things that can’t be recycled, all in the name of celebration. Things like plastic and metal remain forever without breaking down and are terrible for the environment. Instead, they accumulate over decades or centuries, causing environmental damage and climate change. As soon as this garbage is deposited into an already clogged landfill, it begins to poison the soil as well as groundwater. This leads to water and soil pollution, which can affect our health. Also, when these non-biodegradable things enter the ocean, marine life is harmed, causing their lives in danger. That’s why it is high time we start to use sustainable rakhis and serve our way to save the environment. Along with rakhis, siblings should also use sustainable gift ideas to take a step further to favor the earth. Best Eco-friendly Plantable Rakhi DIY ideas for Eco-friendly and Sustainable Rakhi Agree with it or not, making a rakhi with your own hands for your sibling is far more satisfying than buying it from others. If you don’t have time to go shopping or can’t order any eco-friendly rakhi online, you can make one at home using the available ingredients. You can find several videos on youtube regarding this. Let us look at some ideas.  1. Rakhi with old cloth: This may sound weird, but it would turn into an attractive rakhi. You will need a scissor, old cloth, bio-degradable cardboard, and glue. If the fabric you use is unattractive, you may require organic paintings or colors. You can also use patch works and designs from another cloth to decorate it. 2. Rakhi with beads: This type of rakhi can be reusable. You can use different types of beads and organic cotton to prepare a rakhi. After Raksha Bandhan, you can remove these beads and can use them for other purposes like stitching on dresses or making jewelry, etc. 3. Rakhis with coconut shell: This is somewhat difficult to make. But if you want, you can make one using coconut shell, organic cotton, natural glue, and biodegradable colors.  4. Rakhis with organic cotton: These types of

Cruelty-Free Beauty: Top Vegan Makeup Brands for a Compassionate Lifestyle

vegan makeup brands

Veganism has grown in popularity dramatically during the previous decade. Rising environmental concerns and public awareness of animal suffering mostly fuel the rise of veganism. The idea of veganism extends beyond food to include all aspects of lifestyle, such as clothing and cosmetics. The growing popularity of clean, ethical, and vegan beauty products has resulted in new formulas in skincare, beauty care products, perfumes, and cosmetics. The ultimate goal of using these products is to follow vegan makeup. Vegan makeup is nothing but using vegan makeup brands and cosmetics. Vegan cosmetics are beauty products that don’t have animal-related products such as beeswax, honey, collagen, glycerin, lanolin, etc. It is always suggestible to choose vegan makeup products as no animal would be harmed because of this.  In this article, let us explore everything about veganism, vegan makeup, how it differs from cruelty-free makeup, what are the most available vegan makeup brands in India, and what are the benefits of using vegan cosmetics. What is veganism?  Veganism is a concept and way of life that aims to eliminate, as much as it is possible and practical, all forms of animal exploitation and cruelty for clothing, food, or any other purpose. As a result, it encourages the creation and use of alternatives that don’t involve using animals which benefits animals, people, and the environment. In short, it refers to the practice of avoiding any goods that are entirely or partially derived from animals. Veganism is the most effective way to help put an end to animal cruelty. Reducing the demand for animal products by refusing to buy them lessens the captivity of animals that endure pain and death on farms and slaughterhouses. Every animal in any type of farming, either free or organic farming, dairy industry, egg industry, or even fish and marine animals, will face the worst situations before they are slaughtered to become food on our plates or become other products or clothes we use! All animals deserve to live without pain or suffering, whether they are a dog you live with, a pig or even a chicken on a poultry farm, or a fish being pulled from the ocean.  By becoming a vegan, you can say “NO” to animal cruelty in the most powerful way possible. You can find many vegan foods, clothes, and even vegan cosmetic brands to include in your daily life. Cruelty-free makeup vs. vegan makeup When a product is labeled “cruelty-free,” it means that no animal testing was done during production. However, it doesn’t mean that no animal-related ingredient was used during the process of its preparation.  On the other hand, veganism has the ethics of not using any animal-related ingredients in the preparation of makeup products. However, it may or may not involves animal testing.  You can find the ingredients of the product on the label and can decide whether it’s vegan or not. Collagen, glycerin, beeswax, honey, etc. are some examples of non-vegan ingredients. However, not all of these elements are necessarily made from animals. There are vegan substitutes for some of these components. Others have soya variants or are derived from veggies and plant oil, while others are synthetically manufactured; that’s why it is often confusing to buy vegan makeup products. However, there are many vegan makeup brands available in the market, and they are certified and trusted companies. So, you can buy whichever makeup product you want to buy from these brands. Vegan makeup brands in India The vegan beauty products available in India provide some of the strongest formulas and colored cosmetics utilizing age-old recipes and methods to suit Indian skin types. Conventional and Non-conventional Sources of Energy

Conventional and Non-Conventional

In the modern era, we use energy in many ways. When we observe carefully, from morning to night, we consume energy in many forms. Along with this, the usage of fossil fuels to run bikes, cars, and other vehicles has been increasing daily. Studies have shown that this usage doesn’t support the protection of the environment. Overusing any energy source will cause permanent damage to this earth and can cause natural calamities too!  When you use automobiles unnecessarily, the gases they release into the air cause air pollution and global warming. Too much extraction of petroleum may harm oceans and cause ocean pollution. That’s why it is high time we learn clearly about various types of energy resources and how we can convert them to protect the environment. Types of energy resources There are many types of energy present in this world, but they can be classified into two types- conventional and non conventional energy. These energies have sources we can obtain, and they are called conventional and non conventional sources of energy. Before knowing about the sources of conventional and non conventional energy resources, let us know about what is conventional energy and non conventional energy. What is conventional energy? The energy formed through conventional sources of energy is called conventional energy. Conventional energy is also called non-renewable energy. This name came because once these energy sources are over, it will take hundreds of years to regain them. That’s why it is essential to use these conventional sources of energy very carefully. The government is already taking necessary precautions to save these sources, but we need to help in our hands. This can happen if every one of us follows eco-friendly methods in our day-to-day life.  What is non-conventional energy? Simply put, non conventional energy is the energy that comes through non conventional energy resources. Research has shown that these resources are unlimited and thus have many benefits for future generations. These can be considered infinite energy resources, and extraction of them or using them doesn’t cause any harm to our environment. What are conventional sources of energy? Conventional energy sources or Non-renewable energy sources are limited and will eventually run out of resources. Conventional energy resource is defined as energy that cannot be economically extracted in the long run at a rate that will allow for self-renewal. Examples of conventional sources of energy include uranium, coal, crude oil, and natural gas. Contrary to non conventional energy, non-renewable energy needs human assistance to be utilized.Let us look at a few sources of conventional energy. 1. Coal:  Coal is a sedimentary rock that forms in seams and is either black or brownish-black in color. The dead plant matter is transformed into peat over millions of years by the heat & pressure of deep burial, which is then converted into coal over millions of years. Coal can be used in many ways. Coal is India’s most frequently used fossil fuel, and it provides a more significant part of the nation’s energy needs. Depending on the levels of compression, the depth, and the length of burial during its creation, there are various varieties of coal. Let us look into those types. 2. Petroleum:  Petroleum is nothing but crude oil, which can be extracted in liquid form. It is the only conventional energy resource we can find in liquid form. It is extracted by drilling a vertical well into the ground or ocean floor; it is situated between rocks or between layers of the earth’s crust. After being refined at a facility and used to create a range of products, the crude oil is subsequently pumped to the surface. To make gasoline, half of the world’s petroleum is consumed. The remainder can be processed and used to make solid products like water pipes, shoes, crayons, roofing, vitamin capsules, and several other things, as well as liquid products like nail polish and rubbing alcohol. 3. Natural gas:  Along with crude oil deposits, nonrenewable gaseous resources such as natural gas can be found beneath the earth’s crust. Methane makes up most of the natural gas but can also contain propane, ethane, and butane. Since methane has no smell, it is mixed up with a specific chemical to give it a scent so that leaks can be found. The propane and butane used to create liquefied petroleum gas are taken out of natural gas and transported to processing facilities. In addition to being used for home heating, natural gas is also used in gas ovens, stoves, and barbecues. 4. Electricity:  Electricity can be one of the conventional and non conventional sources of energy, depending on the resource utilized to produce it. Electricity must be created and purified in electrical power plants using other energy sources. Processing facilities that burn fossil fuels frequently “produce” power in exchange for the fuel they burn. Coal, oil, or gasoline are examples of non-renewable, constrained energy sources that power the electricity-generating turbines. Electricity can be produced via non conventional energy resources like solar, wind, and geothermal energy. You can also use solar power by using different types of solar panels. Electricity can be produced in two ways. These projects, which serve several purposes, include Bhakra Nangal, Damodar Valley, and the Kopili Hydropower Project, among others, and are a significant source of this pollution-free, Environmentally friendly energy in India. 5. Wood fuel:  One of the most common energy sources for those living in rural areas is fuelwood. They use wood for daily tasks like cooking, heating water, and other things. However, burning wood as fuel has the drawback of causing deforestation, which is hugely detrimental to the ecosystem. 6. Nuclear energy:  Nuclear energy is the cleanest form of energy production. It utilizes a procedure known as nuclear fission, which entails the division of an atom into many pieces. A significant quantity of energy is released during the splitting of atoms, and this energy can be exploited to create electricity. Utilizing nuclear energy has the benefit of being reliable and environmentally safe. What are non conventional sources of energy? It is the complete opposite of energy produced by limited fossil fuels. These resources can produce renewable energy. A natural resource

Relevant Tips for Growing a Sustainable and Organic Garden A sustainable garden is developing an organic garden that can continue for a long time. Let us walk through some practical tips for creating a sustainable organic garden. Pay Attention to Compost Composting done in the right way significantly impacts the development of a sustainable organic garden. Compositing not only enriches or recycles but also improves your soil’s health. This soil, in turn, helps in growing good quality organic plantations.  Also, composting implies less home wastage going to landfills and more nutritious food for your organic plants. Composting while making your soil soft and crumbly reduces water wastage.  In addition, composting leads to the addition of an imperative percentage of micronutrients, phosphorus, potassium, and nitrogen needed for the plant’s growth. Properly Condition the Soil As per experts, to get better results for an organic garden, you need to condition the soil well. Just like humans need food to grow, so do plants. Thus, ensure that your plants get all the essential nutrients through the soil. A healthy and proportionately conditioned soil helps in developing solid plants. Therefore, it is advisable to judge the soil’s quality and make amends if necessary. For this purpose, you can get a home testing kit or send your soil sample to your area’s agricultural office.  Also, ensure that the soil has an appropriate humus quotient, an organic material made up of dead leaves and plants.  Keep the Garden Small at the Beginning If you are a beginner, starting with a small organic garden is advisable, even if it is a small plot. The reason is that though the organic garden is considered low maintenance, it is not a no-maintenance one for sure.  For starting, you can go with a four by eight feet bed which will offer you enough space for growing your favorite plants. Also, if you are uncomfortable with this much space, you can even grow vegetables in small suitable containers. Pay Attention to Watering Along with soil and sunlight, watering is also essential when growing an organic garden. Thus, initiating your organic garden near a well-placed water source, such as a water spigot or a well, is advisable.  You also ensure that you water your organic plant through a garden hose, sprinkler, or drip irrigation. In short, there should be a reliable water source devoid of contaminants near your plants. Also, the garden should be moist enough but not soggy; otherwise, it may hamper the growth of your plants. In addition, you should water your roots, not greenery, which may be easily damaged. Try to water the plants during the morning time as the loss of water due to evaporation is reduced to a great extent at this time of the day. Choose your Plants Well As per experts, choosing the right plants for your organic garden is also essential. It would help if you went for plants that adjust well to the area’s climatic conditions, light, moisture, soil quality, and drainage.  Also, when seeking seedlings, go for plants raised without pesticides and fertilizers. You can always contact your local farmer’s market to get these plants. In addition, you can even get native plants that are perfect for your area.  Garden Essential Tools and Equipment Foldable Garden Stool Gardening Tool Set Green House Net Garden Tool Organizer Plant Watering System Garden Watering Can Compost Bin Garden Tool Set – Stainless Steel Final Words Organic plants ensure the reduction of pesticides in your food and the protection of the environment.
